A trekking holiday here provides a freedom rarely found in this busy world of today. A chance to get away from the stress of everyday life with time to slow down and reflect for a while. Trekking provides the opportunity for you to gain some insight into a very different way of living as you share time with the different ethnic groups and join in the cultural ways of the Nepalese people. The Nepalese are known for being some of the most helpful, skilled and friendly mountain people anywhere in the world.
A day trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas is basically very simple. Many people get up early with a steaming cup of tea or coffee, made for them by our support team to catch the first rays of the sun breaking over the mountains. After breakfast you can expect to trek for around three or four hours in the morning before lunch and after lunch a further two to three hours is fairly normal in the afternoon. On the more popular trails there are places to stop and rest for refreshment as you go. All of your gear (apart from your day pack) is carried by our team. Evening is a time to relax have a wash and catch up on things before having a hot meal and often an early night. To get the most from this fascinating destination you need to be in the hands of highly trained and passionate guides with properly remunerated porters. You want an experienced operator who truly understands Nepal's unique rewards and its challenges. At World Trade Travel and Tours we make sure of this.
